ENVIRONMENT COMMISSIONER ON SPOT ASSESSMENT VISIT TO MATRIX ENERGY NIG LTD TANK FARM.

Today 15th of July 2022, the Environment Commissioner, Delta State, Olorogun Comr Godspower Omafuvwe Asiuwhu & some of the ministry’s top officials took a working visit to MATRIX ENERGY LTD TANK FARM in Delta State.
The commissioner’s visit was necessitated by the recent fire outbreak at the session of the Product Pump House of the Tank Farm.
The environment Commissioner & his entourage was received on behalf of the management by Chief Fred Olomuro, HSSE group head.
Thereafter, Olorogun Comr Godspower Omafuvwe Asiuwhu, said he was there on behalf of His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, the Executive Governor of Delta State and the people of Delta State, to have on spot assessment of cause & impact on the environment, and to commiserate with the management of MATRIX ENERGY LTD & the families of those who lost their lives over the incident of the fire outbreak & explosion at the Tank Farm that led to five casualties and other related injuries /damages of facilities that is worth millions Naira.
Furthermore, the group head of HSSE of the management expressed deep appreciation to the State government over the concern shown since the incident occurred.
Consequently, the Honourable Commissioner was conducted round the site of the incident.
